  • 07/12 John Bellone won a full student travel award to attend the 23rd Annual NASA Space Radiation Investigators’ Workshop at Duke University. Not only that, but when he got there, he managed to convince them to pay for 2 more days in the hotel 🙂 On top of that, all of the student travel award winners were required to enter a “blitz” presentation in which each had 2 minutes to show their data, and he won, coming home with $500 🙂 Finally, he accomplished all of this with some of the most difficult data of all – a *non-finding* (we found that proton radiation did *not* exacerbate Alzheimer’s-like symptoms in our transgenic mice)…
